Optical quality is good with little distortion. Adjustment is quick and simple. It is made almost entirely out of plastic- including the lens attachment pins which seem to be easy to lose (we have a older single lens model and the pins are long gone). It comes in a nice case but needs to be adjusted all the way tight to fit in. The headlamp battery case does not clip on very well and the first time I used it the battery case got too hot to touch. All the single lens magnifiers in this line run $32 so I don't see why this costs so much. If you really need this many lenses, bite the bullet, but otherwise I would pick a single lens model to save money. I couldn't decide what 'power' lenses I needed so just opted to bite the bullet and get the entire set. I'm glad I did. The case protects the lenses and is a convenient way to store everything.
