I had a friend assemble it for me.Well, after one day, the whole tray collapsed and fell to the floor. Evidently, there was just tape that attached the tray to the desk. I had to get a maintenance man drill holes and affix screws, and now it works. But do not believe the advertisement because tape alone is not enough to hold it up! Luckily, it's okay now, but do not believe the advertisement. This has essentially rendered the tray useless for me.I plan on reaching out to 3M to see how they can help me out (I'll post an update with more info when I have it). It installed easily, though there was a crack in one of the plastic brackets where the track hooks on the desk in the front. After a few weeks, the adhesive that attaches a velcro strip to the track gave way. It just took re-adhering the strip to the track. There are some screws in the front that keep the bracket in front tight to the desk. It is important that these stay tight - when they work themselves loose, it puts pressure on the adhesive parts in the back. |
